Bio

Tej Azad is a neurosurgery resident at Johns Hopkins who grew up in southern Indiana. In medical school, he pursued advanced training in statistics and computational biology.

Tej has published more than 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts and has been funded by the NIH, the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Council of State Neurosurgical Societies, and the American Brain Tumor Association.

His current interests lie in the design of trauma systems, point-of-care diagnostics, and improving neurotrauma outcomes.
